The bees behind this honey are not kept in managed boxes. They build in hollows, rock clefts, and old forest trees across the high valleys near Tral — on their own terms, in places no farmer can plant or schedule.

The harvest happens once a year, in the narrow stretch when the forest flora is in bloom and the high hives are briefly reachable. Miss the window, and the next chance is a year away.
